2-Day Hands On  Seminar

Mack Boring & Parts Company offers a 2-Day HANDS ON Diesel Engine Course. This course is designed to familiarize boat owners on the proper methods of performing basic service and emergency repairs. This class is over 60% HANDS ON, working on Yanmar engines. Classes are limited to 10 participants and are often filled months in advance, so please register early. Due to the size of the engines, powerboat hands-on classes are held in Union, NJ only. For owners with engines other than Yanmar, please check with our registrar to determine whether this seminar is suitable for you. 

Sailboat Class covers Yanmar engine models: QM, GM, HM, JH, LH and YM.  Powerboat Class covers LH, LY, LYA, CX and LP models.


Requirements

  • Prerequisite - our 1-Day Basic Engine Maintenance Course
  • Please wear clothing suitable for a shop environment 
  • Applicants must be registered and paid in full prior to class
  • The fee for the class is $530.00
  • 2 day classes held on weekends are $730.00
  • Classes are two days from 8:30AM to approximately 5PM
  • A continental breakfast and lunch are provided
  • Class limited to 10 participants

        e. Checking and adjusting throttle cable
        f. Checking and adjusting stop mechanism

        h. Testing injectors on engine

THE COST FOR THE WEEKEND 2-DAY HANDS-ON CLASS IS $730.00.

**TRANSFER POLICY: A $30.00 FEE WILL BE CHARGED IN THE EVENT YOU WOULD LIKE TO RESCHEDULE WITHIN THE SAME SEASON

***CANCELLATION POLICY: A FULL REFUND LESS $30.00 FEE PER COURSE WILL BE ISSUED IF A CANCELLATION OCCURS PRIOR TO 10 DAYS OF A SCHEDULED CLASS. A 50% REFUND PER COURSE WILL BE ISSUED IF A CANCELLATION OCCURS WITHIN 3 TO 10 DAYS OF A SCHEDULED CLASS. NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED FOR NO SHOWS OR CANCELLATIONS THAT OCCUR WITHIN 2 DAYS OF A SCHEDULED CLASS.
